Privacy Policy

Profica Creator is operated by Jacob Cottam, a sole proprietor based in Veyo, Utah, United States. References to “we”, “our”, or “us” in this policy mean Jacob Cottam operating Profica Creator.

We operate the web application at https://www.proficacreator.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle information when you use our Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected when you sign in to the Service using our magic-link authentication flow.
• Payment and billing data — Stripe collects payment details in its hosted checkout. We receive and store billing identifiers, subscription and invoice status, plan period dates, and video-credit ledger activity. We do not store your full card number.
• Creator profile data — information you enter into your creator profile, such as your niche, tone, audience description, and other preferences you choose to provide.
• Content and ideas — ideas, hooks, outlines, captions, hashtags, scene prompts, narration text, and other material you enter, generate, edit, or save within the Service.
• Generated media — narration audio, visual scenes, timed captions, completed videos, and related private-library records. Profica Creator currently uses a preselected synthetic voice and does not ask you to upload voice samples or create a voice clone.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic authentication metadata managed by our infrastructure provider (Supabase), such as session tokens and sign-in timestamps.
• Generation and operational metadata, such as request and job identifiers, provider status, estimated or accounted cost, timestamps, error categories, and media-processing details.

If you choose to connect a supported third-party account such as TikTok, we may receive the account identifiers, profile details, tokens, and connection metadata needed to provide that connection. Profica Creator does not currently post, schedule, or retrieve analytics automatically.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Personalise content idea generation based on your creator profile.
• Save and display your content ideas and saved drafts.
• Generate, assemble, store, play, and deliver requested videos, narration, captions, and downloads.
• Maintain and improve the performance and reliability of the Service.
• Prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and estimate or control provider cost.
• Process subscriptions, maintain credit balances, and handle cancellations.
• Respond to your requests or support enquiries.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to serve advertising on behalf of third parties.

We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:

• Supabase — provides our authentication, database, and backend infrastructure. Your account data and creator profile are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure. Supabase’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosts and delivers the web application and related server functions.
• Stripe — provides hosted checkout, subscription billing, payment processing, and the customer portal. Stripe receives payment and transaction data under its own privacy policy.
• AI text provider — processes creator-profile details and submitted ideas to produce requested hooks, outlines, captions, and hashtags. The active provider may change as we improve reliability.
• Runway — processes scene prompts and related generation data to create requested video visuals.
• ElevenLabs — processes narration text and generation metadata to produce synthetic voice audio.
• Render — runs the private worker that assembles scenes, narration, and captions into a completed video.
• Resend and Supabase Auth — support email delivery and magic-link authentication.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. Provider systems, abuse monitoring, operational logs, and backups may retain some information after it is removed from Profica Creator’s active systems. Optional public-page measurement is available only when enabled and you choose Allow analytics. It sends Amplitude page views, signup-button clicks and demo plays, plus fixed campaign tags. It does not send account identifiers, email addresses, creative content, full URLs or referrers. We use a random identifier held only in page memory and save your analytics choice on this device for up to 180 days. Amplitude receives network information such as your IP address when accepting a request. No session replay or automatic page capture is used for this measurement. You can stop future collection through Analytics preferences on public pages. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this optional measurement. Essential account and billing records are still needed to provide the Service.

We retain account, creator-profile, draft, generation-job, and private media data while your account is active or as reasonably needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations for the Service. Billing identifiers, invoices, credit-ledger records, and related transaction history may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. The library is not a guaranteed archive, so download media you need to retain.

Self-service account deletion is not currently available. To request account and personal-data deletion, email proficacreator@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We will verify the request and remove personal information from active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to security, fraud-prevention, provider, backup, and legal requirements. Deletion may not be immediate or remove information a provider must retain under its own obligations.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Authentication is handled through Supabase using tokenised magic-link sign-in. Completed media is stored in private storage and made available through time-limited signed playback and download links. Provider credentials and third-party account tokens are kept server-side.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.

The Service is for adults age 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
